In short: QRakshak is a safety tool (an aid), not an emergency service. It gives you a 112 dial intent and best-effort alerts — it cannot guarantee that a call, message or rescue happens.
QRakshak is a safety tool (an aid) — it is NOT a replacement for emergency services. In any emergency, call 112 (or the appropriate local emergency number) yourself, immediately.
1. No emergency dispatch, no auto-dial
We provide a 112 dial intent: the app may offer a button that opens your phone's dialer with 112 filled in. We do not place the call, do not monitor whether it connects, and do not dispatch police, ambulance, fire or any rescue service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government or emergency authority.
2. Alerts are best-effort
Family alerts are sent through email, push notification, SMS and masked voice providers. Their delivery depends on your network, your device, the recipient's device, carrier routing and third-party providers. 100% delivery cannot be guaranteed, and a delivery receipt does not mean a human has seen the alert. Always use more than one way to get help.
3. Masked calls
Masked calling uses a provider's virtual number. The call may fail if the provider, carrier or the recipient's phone is unavailable. Masking is mandatory in the woman-safety category. We do not record calls. A helper and an owner see only the virtual number — not each other's real number.
4. Location is approximate
There is no background tracking. If a user taps “Share my location”, we pass the location reported by their device at that moment. It may be inaccurate, stale or unavailable indoors. We do not claim an exact position, live tracking, or continuous monitoring.
5. User-provided information
Medical notes, blood group, allergies, medicines, vehicle numbers, school details and pickup persons are entered by the owner or guardian. We do not verify them. A helper must not rely on them as medical advice and must call a qualified professional. Incorrect data can cause harm; owners must keep it accurate and up to date.
6. Physical QR products
We do not control the durability of a printed QR sticker, how it is attached, or the scanning conditions (light, surface, camera quality, damage, tampering). A damaged or copied QR may not work or may be used by the wrong person. Report a damaged product for a replacement and deactivate a lost or compromised QR in the app.
7. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on third-party hosting, database, email, push and telephony providers. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions or outages. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; their content and privacy practices are not ours.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Our liability is limited as described in the Terms of Service (section 15). We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a failure caused by a network, carrier, device or event beyond our reasonable control. Nothing here limits a right that cannot be limited by law.
9. Reporting a safety or security issue
Report a security vulnerability to contact@thinkaiq.com. Report abuse (stalking, a fake QR, a harmful profile) to contact@thinkaiq.com. For an immediate danger, call 112 first, then tell us.
